About the firm

An established New York CPA firm focused on privately held businesses.

Founded in 2005, John W. Halloran CPA, P.C. combines ongoing accounting and business-tax relationships with clearly defined readiness, transaction, and internal-control support.

Built around direct professional accountability

John W. Halloran, CPA founded the firm in 2005 and supervises all professional work. The firm serves established privately held companies that need an ongoing accounting and business-tax relationship or focused support for a defined financial requirement, contemplated sale, or internal-control question.

Engagements are scoped around the company’s needs, existing team, systems, available information, timing, and the responsibilities of management and other advisers. That keeps the work practical and makes professional accountability clear from the outset.

Focused on the business relationship

Our work is centered on privately held businesses across Long Island and the New York metropolitan area. Business Tax may include related owner matters when they arise directly from the broader company relationship.

Clear service boundaries

We do not perform external financial-statement audits. Audit Readiness helps management prepare records, schedules, documentation, and responsibilities for an audit performed by a separate CPA firm. Internal Audit consists of management-focused reviews of selected processes, risks, and controls. Transaction Advisory is limited to seller-side financial and tax preparation; we do not advise purchasers, determine business value, market a company, negotiate terms, or provide legal advice.

Because the firm does not perform external financial-statement audits, it can provide hands-on accounting, readiness, and internal-control support while a separate CPA firm remains responsible for any external audit and its report.

Leadership with distinct responsibilities

Managing Partner John W. Halloran, CPA founded the firm in 2005 and supervises its professional work. Managing Director John W. Halloran, Jr. leads business development, marketing, technology, growth, and firm operations.
